Preliminary Media Project - Magazine

Planning Photography
I want to take a close up picture with the model on the ground and me taking the photo from above, her hair spread out because it will give me space on the cover to write cover lines also I want it to look like a professional picture.
I want to try keep my colour scheme the same so try have black, white and red on my cover.
The magazine is about gossip, fashion, music etc… so I want to present that through the picture.
Photography
I want to use a model with black hair, also wear a white top and red flowers scatted around her, because black white and red are my colour schemes. I want to take a picture from above (birds eye view) so you can see the model's hair on the ground. I want the model to be lying on grass so it links with flowers. I want a small theme for each magazine cover; for this one the small theme is going to be snow white because it is getting near to winter.

Features and Articles
I want my cover lines to make my target audience want to read the magazine more, so I want there to be varied 'subjects'. From my audience research most people were unsure about what kind of fashion sense they had so I want one of my cover lines to be about fashion and ideas on outfits. Also I need to mention Autumn because most of my audience prefer Autumn than the other seasons. Some of my answers for 'favourite celebrity' were left blank so I'm not going to mention celebrities that much. My coverlines are going to be black and white; sticking with my colour scheme. My slogan is going to be in a rusty red at the bottom of the magazine.
Final Design
Evaluation
My final design is much better than my mock because, the picture on my mock desging was slightly tilted and not straight on. My choice of using the final picture was because it looks like the model is saying 'shh' which is effective because the magazine talks about gossip. This picture is also straight on and also there is more space to write around the model without the colour of the text not being able to be seen. Using different fonts and sizes for my coverlines looks much better because it makes it more pleasing to look at. Also, the different sizes makes it stand out for example with the bigger numbers compared with the smaller writing. I chose to put my slogan at the bottom of my magazine so the reader can see it easily, I also wanted it to be the same colour as the flowers so the reds don't clash. I need to work on my time management so I need to work more in my free periods and at home.
